Description: 

Wow, this company expects to add 300 employees in the next 10 months! They seek a Maintenance Electrician to keep high speed bottling plant processes up and running. Troubleshoot sensors, VFDs, motor starters, 480VAC and 24VDC and PLC systems  Do you have experience with one or two of these things?

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Troubleshoot and fix mechanical problems and minor electrical issues
  • Replace defective parts and reassemble equipment
  • Inspects all job assignments for quality and completion.
  • Assist in the installation of new equipment
  • Recommend ways to improve methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding GMPs, SOPs, Food Safety and Quality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with electrical components, sensors, VFDs, motor starters, 480VAC and 24VDC systems
  • 3 years mechanical experience in the food processing industry
  • 3 years mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to read schematics for  pneumatics, electric motors, controls, and wiring
  • Follow oral and written instructions in English
  • Communicate efficiently and fluently in both written and oral form.
  • Be friendly and helpful

Hourly +/- $35/hr, plus OT and great benefits

Shift Manager - Juice Packaging, 2nd shift

Description: 

Growing provider of healthy juices and citrus products needs a Shift Manager to manage daily production activities! To help you manage this process, you are provided with a diverse team of production people involved in pasteurizing, drumming, bottling and blending. To be successful, you will need to make good decisions, and have a passion for managing and bringing out the best in others.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for accurate management of receipt, blending, and pasteurization of ingredients
  • Supervise, motivate, lead and manage a diverse workforce to promote accountability and continuous improvement
  • Define staffing requirements and work assignments for Production Department
  • Develop and review SOPs; participate in daily SOP training in the pre-shift stand up meetings. 
  • Perform weekly approval and upkeep of the employee time system.
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation
  • Communicate with production planning, bottling, and fruit processing team members.
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation.
  • Participate in developing and reviewing SOPs and daily SOP training
  • Perform approval of employee time system in Attendance Enterprise.

SCHEDULE:

2nd shift - 3:00pm to 1:00am, may change as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS Degree in Business or Engineering
  • 2+ years experience in management of production workers
  • Experience in Food or Beverage production
  • Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Wow, this company is growing fast! They seek an experienced Sr. Production Supervisor with deep experience in an FDA Manufacturing environment to oversee cGMP manufacturing and/or packaging functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage manpower planning, scheduling, and coaching.
  • Report to VP Ops, develop, implement and maintain production standards in all manufacturing areas.
  • Manage and lead production personnel directly and through supervisors on each shift including hiring, scheduling, training, development and performance management.
  • Work with production scheduling, quality, inventory management and sales to ensure products are produced to cGMP, quality and customer standards.
  • Use Six Sigma/Lean concepts to maximize use of equipment and materials
  • Coordinate with maintenance, sanitation, quality control and safety
  • Ensure financial goals in both variable labor and yield performance against the budget.
  • Maintain customer service level and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) standards.
  • Continuously improve quality and sanitation practices in the production areas.
  • Develop, implement and enhance production policies, procedures, and training, including enforcement

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS Degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related
  • 10+ years of progressive manufacturing experience and responsibility
  • Experience with high-speed packaging in cGMP, FDA environment.
  • Excellent Change Management / Coaching / Managerial skills

Rapidly growing manufacturer needs an experienced Production Records Manager!

Essential Functions:

  • Review completed batch records for compliance and accuracy.
  • Perform final approval for release of finished product.
  • Respond in real time to operational issues in order to prevent and avoid deviations, including immediate response to questions from operations personnel that could potentially lead to non-conformances and failures.
  • Facilitate resolution of potential nonconformance events and complete deviation investigations as required.
  • Support internal, customer, certification, and regulatory quality audits.
  • Provide day to day guidance, training and support to the Lot Review team
  • Support training and development of new and current Lot Review staff, as directed.
  • Ensure operational compliance by making sure policies and procedures are followed.
  • Facilitate updates to Batch Production Records (BPR) forms through Change Control.
  • Coordinate storage, filing and retrieval of batch records.
  • Provide input and assist with implementation of improvements to streamline the BPR review and approval process.
  • Support all departments with corrective actions, audit findings and follow-up.
  • Provide training in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to new and existing employees as directed.

 

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED, AA preferred
  • 5 years’ relevant experience in FDA  environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply GMP regulations.
  • Proven ability to perform and resolve investigations/deviations and root cause analysis.
  • In-depth understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Excel and Outlook.

 THE JOB:

  • Perform process studies to improve manufacturing efficiency
  • Provide oversight of contractor(s) process design performance
  • Update and maintain documentation such as material balances, P&IDs and automation functional descriptions
    • Manage project budget, contractors and timeframes.
    • Maintain full project chronology of process revisions
    • Bottle fillers, Tank Farm control system, Conveyor systems, Pasteurizers
    • Testing, Startups, project premises and detailed scopes
    • Assist Maintenance
  • Obtain operating data, build process datasheets and evaluate schemes
  • Improve and support safety in daily activities and process designs
  • Manage the change work process
  • Participate in preparation & submittal of regulatory permits
  • Provide technical support and training to operators.

 BASIC/REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS Process, Packaging, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ yrs exp with PLC & HMI programming
  • 5+ yrs exp with process design assignments of increasing responsibility, complexity and scope
  • Aspen or AutoCAD required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
